    • 2nd and 3rd Saturday of each month.

  • 5th Council District (Gerrie Schipske) Good Neighbor Festival_

  • East Anaheim Business Association Luncheon
    • Tuesday, September 23, 2008
    • 12 noon, Frenchiy's Bistro (4137 E. Anaheim, btwn Redondo and Park) Breakwater Forum with Preston Smith RSVP for lunch: 562-494-8787
    • This biz organization is the most active and influential in Long Beach right now. These luncheons have attracted over 100 people in the past – including Mayor Foster.  This luncheon will be a forum with Preston Smith, long-time resident of the Peninsula, on the Reconfiguration of the Breakwater. It'll be a respectful discussion.

  • University by the Sea
    • Sunday, October 5, 2008
    • All day, downtown Long Beach
    • This will be a joint effort with Patrick O'Donnell in presenting a history of the breakwater and what it has done to Long Beach. The inaugural University by the Sea was last year and it was HUGE. This year's theme will be "green" and Surfrider was specifically invited to participate. Volunteers will be needed in a big way.

  • Breakwater Bash!
    • Sat. November 15, 2008
    • Smooth’s Sports Grille – space donated by John Morris.
    • The date for our annual fundraiser is confirmed.  We'll need volunteers for different aspects (promotion, music, etc.).

  • Belmont Shore Christmas Parade
    • Saturday, December 6, 2008
    • We'll be doing this event again this year and hope to get the Wilson High School Surf Team to march with us.
