We will be hosting our bi-monthly general meeting at 7PM, Monday June 4th, at Borders Bookstore in the Pike. The address is in Long Beach. This meeting is open to the public.
The evening begins with a short introduction to the Surfrider Foundation, with a discussion of the campaign to reconfigure the Long Beach Breakwater.
We have 2 Guest Speakers:
1) James Tejani and Matt Lyons of Planning & Conservation in the Long Beach Water Department will be presenting a short, 15 minute presentation on the eWatering program.
2) David Cannon, President of the coastal engineering firm Everest International Consultants, will be presenting on How Large Coastal Projects Get Done in Southern California. This has direct relevance to the Long Beach Breakwater campaign, so all active members should attend.
